Since 2014 Web Ready has been not only the largest competition in Russia and Eastern Europe for Internet & Mobile startups, but has also had a special track for IT projects as part of its Generation S programme.

Generation S is organised by RVK and Moscow Innovation Development Centre. Web Ready is sponsored by the Skolkovo Foundation and the Foundation for the Development of Internet Initiatives (IIDF).

Jury and Judging Panel

The Judging Panel and Jury includes representatives from venture capital funds and development institutes, investors with experience in Internet & Mobile investments, successful entrepreneurs, and founders and directors from large IT companies.

Acceleration programme

The 80 semi-finalists for the nominations of Seed and Startup, chosen by the Judging Panel will get the opportunity to participate in an acceleration programme with no interruption to their current project. The acceleration includes an intensive educational programme from FDII, participation in a Weekend Activity mentor session based in their region, work with trackers and mentors and presentations to experts and investors at Demo Days. The best projects will reach the Web Ready finals.

Final IT Section

The final is held in the format of an investment forum in Moscow on 19 September 2014. During the final there will be a general area VC Corner to display projects for investors, and Mentoring sessions will be held, along with an exhibition, project pitches, a round table with the participation of invited guests and other useful events. Generation S Final

The 20 best projects at the conclusion of the IT Section of Generation S will receive the opportunity to participate at the Moscow International Forum Open Innovations and compete for the Generation S prize pool.
